Lexus accessorises for winter

Lexus is launching a new variant of its RX 450h hybrid SUV with a package of accessories aimed at outdoor lovers.

The RX 450h SE-I Lifestyle comes with roof rails, front and rear under-runs and a rear bumper protector, while the interior gains a cool/hot storage box and boot liner.

Lexus says that added as options the extras would cost up to £1,500, but the RX 450h SE-I Lifestyle costs only £499 more than the stock SE-I.

That price is from £48,899 and the RX 450h SE-I Lifestyle can be ordered now from dealers.

The RX 450h is a full hybrid mating a 3.5-litre petrol engine to front and rear motors of 165 and 67bhp. Total power output is 295bhp enabling a top speed of 124mph and 0 to 62mph acceleration in 7.8 seconds, but also returning combined cycle fuel economy of 44.8mpg and CO2 emissions of 148g/km – very low for a premium SUV.
