Mitsubishi looks to keep Shogun sales in the BlackMitsubishi is kicking off 2012 with the launch of a special edition Shogun Black version of its signature SUV.

The chief difference between the car and its Shogun SG4 base is an exterior styling kit.

On sale now, the Shogun Black is based on the 3.2 Di-D LWB Shogun SG4, but with a satin black styling kit added comprising black 20-inch alloy wheels, roof, spoiler, wing mirrors, grille and headlamp bezels, fog lamp surrounds, door handles and side steps.

The Shogun Black can be ordered in either Frost White solid, Cool Silver, Orient Red or Granite Brown metallic, or a Diamond Black pearlescent body colour.

It also comes with the SG4’s extensive specification topped by active stability and traction control leather upholstery and the Mitsubishi Motors Communication System (MMCS) featuring satellite navigation, a reversing camera and iPod connection.

The Shogun Black costs £41,999, £1000 more than an SG4 version – choosing metallic paint adds another £540.
