Toyota floats Yaris special edition models Toyota is adding two new versions to its supermini line-up, dubbed the Yaris Edition and Yaris Trend.

Both come with blacked-out C-pillars and according to their when combined with darkened rear privacy glass and contrasting Tyrol or Cirrus White paintwork, the effect is to create a floating roof.

The Yaris Edition is based on the entry-level T2 grade and adds 15-inch Podium anthracite (smoke-finished) machined alloy wheels, front , rear privacy glass, extra chrome exterior rear trim, a tachometer and a leather-trimmed gear knob.

Power comes from the 1-litre VVT-I petrol engine with five-speed manual transmission.

The Yaris Trend is an upgraded version of the Yaris SR, adding new Podium alloys in 16-inch form and a chrome tailpipe trim.

Power is from the 1.33-litre VVT-i petrol unit, with a choice of six-speed manual or, in the five-door version, Toyota’s Multidrive S CVT automatic.

Manual air conditioning can be specified as an option on the Edition, while the Trend can add the Toyota Touch & Go multimedia system with satellite navigation.

Yaris Edition prices start at £11,695 with three and five-door versions of offer, while the Trend starts at £13,795.
