Vauxhall’s Adam to invade Paris show
Vauxhall/Opel will unveil the Adam small car at the Paris Auto Show on 27th September.
The brand says several examples of the car will be on show demonstrating some of the many personalisation options on offer.
The cars on display will be based around the three trim levels – JAM (dubbed ‘fashionable/colourful’), GLAM (elegant/sophisticated) and SLAM (racy/sporty).
The new car will offer three versions of the ecoFlex four-cylinder petrol engine: a 1.2-litre 69bhp or a 1.4-litre in 86 or 99bhp variants.
Start/Stop technology will be an option while a five-speed manual gearbox will be fitted as standard.
Later on the Adam will be the first car in Vauxhall’s line-up to be fitted with the NG (new-generation) small petrol engine, with direct injection and forced induction, and an all-new six-speed gearbox.
Other highlights of the car will include a top-of-the-range infotainment system ‘My Media’ which integrates the owner’s smartphone with the car.
Internet-based applications will be accessible from a touch-screen on the centre console and the system will work with both Apple iOS and android phones.
