BMW is to sell its new i range of cars through 46 of the brand’s UK dealers.

On stream at the end of this year they will initially show off the first two members of BMW’s electric sub-brand.

The new Range Rover Sport will cost from £51,500 when it arrives in showrooms in the Autumn.

Order books are now open for the car, which its creators describe as Land Rover’s most technology-packed vehicle to date.

Nissan has brought its new commercial vehicles, the eNV200 electric van and the NV200 taxi, to the CV Show in Birmingham.

Building on the success of Nissan’s LEAF electric car now manufactured in Sunderland, the eNV200 is the first pure electric van the brand has put into production.

Sister brands Peugeot and Citroën have unveiled the all-electric versions of their small vans at the CV show in Birmingham.

The Peugeot Partner and Citroën Berlingo Electric will both go on sale later this year.

Land Rover has unveiled its latest Range Rover Sport in headline-grabbing style, by having James Bond star Daniel Craig drive it through closed Manhattan streets.

Craig was driving the car to a reveal party held on the eve of the New York Auto Show.
