Peugeot is adding significant extras to its 508 large car range, two years after it went on sale.

The brand says that despite the major changes prices will only rise by between £200 and £400.

Peugeot has opened order books for its 2008 crossover, with a starting price of £12,995.

The new extension to the brand’s line-up will arrive in showrooms on 18th July.

Peugeot believes that its 2008 has the right ingredients to become the best-selling B-segment crossover.

The brand believes the car can outsell Renault’s new Captur and take customers away from the segment-leading Nissan Juke.

Renault’s Captur small crossover will cost from £12,495 when it arrives in UK showrooms on 1st July.

The price is designed to strike a blow for Renault’s newcomer, being £500 lower than the class-leading Juke from sister brand Nissan.
